Rev. Lee preached his last sermon on the Fourth Sunday morning, January 28, 2001. He went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2001. The Boynton Beach community and the Florida East Coast Baptist Association remembered Rev. Lee in a special way with a beautiful homegoing celebration.

Rev. Lance Chaney of Rock Island, Illinois became the congregation's seventh Pastor on June 3, 2002. Rev. Chaney was an anointed man of God. He was also a preacher, teacher, pastor, visionary, counselor humanitarian, philosopher, and community leader all wrapped up in one. Under his leadership, St. John experienced a phenomenal growth in Christian discipleship. Many ministries were established. Pastor Chaney took his flight from his earthly tabernacle to his heavenly home on Sunday. July 21, 2013. Pastor Marvin E. Wiley of Rock of Ages Baptist Church of Maywood, Illinois delivered the eulogy. Moderator Johnny L. Barber II of the FEC Baptist Association officiated the service.

The Rev. Dr. Gilbert Campbell, Jr., a native of Norfolk, Virginia was appointed Interim Pastor effective January 1, 2014.

The Rev. Jovan T. Davis, M.Div., a native of Passaic, New Jersey (The Garden State), became our eighth Pastor on December 31, 2015. To God be the Glory!
